Gözde Çavuş Eröz

Midwife

Gözde Çavuş Eröz

Gözde Sergeant Eröz, born in 1989 in Izmir, graduated from Çanakkale 18 Mart University Midwifery Department in 2010. During her four-year university education, she gave trainings on pregnancy, nutrition and infant development, postpartum breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum period at various hospitals in Çanakkale, Istanbul and Izmir.

After graduating from university, she returned to İzmir and worked as an intensive care nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Kent Hospital. She gave lectures at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Midwifery, and worked as a midwife at Private Ege Health Hospital Gynecology Service while supporting internships.

In her student life, she began to imagine that the birth of babies would be a story that could be told over and over again. Thereupon, she started 'Birth Preparation Trainer and Doula Training' in 2012 while she was a midwife in the neonatal intensive care and delivery room departments. She opened her own center as a freelance midwife for the first time in 2013. It works to prepare families mentally, physically and spiritually for the prenatal, birth and postnatal period.

In addition to her midwifery experience, she has participated in many trainings that adopt a doula, birth preparation trainer, water birth, active birth, breastfeeding counseling, yoga, breathing, meditation, mindfulness, child development, baby psychology in the womb, and bond-oriented parenting approach. Believing in the uniqueness of families and birth, Gözde midwife provides need-oriented counseling.
