Deniz Sağdıç

Artist Deniz Sağdıç was born in Mersin, Turkey. His first artistic productions were the stained glass works he made in his family's glass workshop when he was a child. After high school, he won the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts and graduated as the first in the faculty. His style, which he developed at a young age and reminds of the traditional Ebru Art, became his signature in a short time. From the first years of his art, he mastered different techniques such as sculpture, printing and engraving, mostly oil painting, and produced works in the fields of video and new media. For many years, she developed research and projects that problematized the place of women in society. She received a Master's degree in Art with her project and article studies on this subject. She has worked and collaborated with various non-governmental institutions and organizations based on women. With his project named “Ready-ReMade”; It aims to rethink “consumption” habits by bringing together some objects that have become waste.

Artist Deniz Sağdıç, who aims to draw attention to the sustainability of art while inspiring nature-friendly sustainable ideas, aims to recreate all kinds of waste products and objects in the world of art with the principle of recycling and upcycling, with the exhibition “0”Zero Point. invites the audience to rethink the concept of "consumption". The portraits in the exhibition draw attention to the fact that consumption is a common issue for all humanity.
