Prof. Fevzi Karakoç

Born in Çankırı in 1947, Fevzi Karakoç studied at the Istanbul State Applied Fine Arts High School between 1968-72. The artist, who became an assistant to the same institution in 1974, received the Salzburg City Award in 1979 with the lithographs he worked at the Salzburg Summer Academy.

Karakoç received Proficiency in Art in Original Printmaking in 1983 and became Associate Professor in 1986 and Professor in 1993. He worked at Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty until January 2002. He has been working as a lecturer at Yeditepe University Faculty of Fine Arts since February 2002.

The artist is the recipient of the 1979 Salzburg City Honor Award, the 1981 State Painting and Sculpture Exhibition Award, the 1983 State Painting and Sculpture Exhibition Award, the 1983 Viking Paper, Printmaking Award.
